About the Brand
THANK YOU FARMER is a relatively new company that was founded in Korean in 2015. Their main motto is to create high quality products using high quality ingredients (from honest farmers) and to ensure no false promises are made (integrity). They are aware of massive marketing tactics with big claims to reverse the signs of aging, however, they are different. THANK YOU FARMER aims at preventing and reducing the rate of aging rather than reversing them. They carry multiple lines of products that caters to specific desired results and skin type.

A pink shimmer sun essence that gives radiance with the clarity of a spring that shines under the sunshine. A light texture that applies smoothly for hydration and cooling. Brilliant and radiant pinkish micro pearls that shines as clear water. Natural radiance that gives confidence to bare skin. Packaging
- The packaging is beautiful, the tube looks gorgeous and made of high quality materials.
- I love the metallic cap and the size of the tube.
- Direct application of the sunscreen on the face is easily done with the nozzle shape
Texture
It is close to a very thin lotion, very light and has some simmer in it. The shimmer is not overpowering and it does not leave you looking like a disco ball. Additionally, with the subtle shimmer, it makes your skin radiate under the sun!
Fragrance
The Sun Project Shimmer Sun Essence sunscreen is unfortunately heavily fragranced. Considering the sunscreen is applied on my entire face, it is difficult not to smell it. The fragrance therefore gives me a massive headache and the scent does not go away. It smells somewhat like floral and heavy cheap perfume. The strong scent is a huge no-go for me!
Product experience review
After 2 weeks of using this product, I do notice my skin getting oily throughout the day but I am like that with most sunscreens. There was nothing in particular that is special about. However, what stood out to me was the nice little subtle shimmer in the sun. The Sun Project Shimmer Sun Essence sunscreen absorbs well and does not leave a white cast.
Overall, I would not purchase this product but I can see why others would.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: My mother tested out this product for 2 weeks and had a completely different opinion than I did. I’m in my late 20s and she’s in her late 50s. I’m guessing for more mature skin it works a lot better. She loves the effect it had on her skin, she experienced brightening of her skin and overall better texture. Additionally, the fragrance was not an issue for her and she love the smell of it!
For my younger skin, it did not do wonders compared to her matured skin. I think this product was meant for more mature skin than the one I have.

- ❌Did not experience skin whitening (for my type of skin!)

Overall it is a good sunscreen but it did not brighten my skin and the scent is too strong (for my skin type and age).
Although it did not work well for me, testing it on mature skin gave better results. Compared to my instagram review, this is an updated one to better represent the product!
